Health professionals are often faced with parents of children with autism anxiously seeking answers. Parents need practical solutions that will really work for their children, but the problems are complicated and the effects far- reaching. Each child is different, the parents are exhausted, and they need to see some success quickly but you have a demanding case load.  

However I can help. For the past 25 years, I have worked with children on the autistic spectrum, and the experience knowledge and insight I have gained has equipped me to deal with the hugely differing needs of children with ASD. Engaging a child is the first critical step to success. Let me show you successful practical ideas that you and the family can use with the child. I will demonstrate ideas that really work, that are fun and I will also provide ideas on how to;

  • Get and keep a child's attention - on your terms
  • Build relationships
  • Encourage communication skills
  • Teach social skills. 

I will demonstrate strategies to support parents in their daily lives.

I can offer 'theory into practice' clinics, hospital or home based consultations and sessions. My training and workshops are designed to meet your individual needs such as teaching parents toilet training or mealtime and food strategies.

I can offer mentoring packages working hands-on with you and the children to build confident expert skills.
